This reminds me of some of the lice that my sister illustrated for an entomology department, drawn from microscopic views. She had quite a few specimens that she had to draw from prepared slides of species from all around the world....kind of a comparative anatomy that one of the doctoral students was conducting on body lice. :D

My favorite subject in college was histology, I could sit and draw from the slides for hours... I wish I had a good microscope and a camera attachment to do photos from slides. It would be very cool.

I saw a device in Edmund Scientific that one can connect to the computer and it has something like a 200X magnification, I believe. It's been a while since I last visited them on line.. I used to get their catalogs years back. But, I think I've seen the device in some of the toy stores, too. There was a camera attachment that one could use on microscopes, too. It just slipped over the eyepiece. :D

Been stayin' indoors and keeping warm for the mostpart. We've been having above normal snowfall and the temperatures have been quite cool over the last week or two with the -44* of last week and single digit highs of the last several days. It's been a while since we've had this much snow...close to 62" so far this season which is double the annual average. But it made the snowmobilers happy..:D

I've been kinda lax when it comes to the artwork and spending more time tracking down members to add to the "family tree", which seems to entail a lot of hurry up and wait for pages to download..and getting cross-eyed reading the handwriting on those old census pages.. Some of that old styled handwriting can be pretty hard to decipher sometimes. :D
